Olivine Bandana | Free Crochet Pattern

The Olivine Bandana was a pattern I released a year ago but I wanted to record a Youtube video tutorial for it so I decided to revisit the pattern and make some updates.
The bandana is a textured accessory that uses a mixture of half double crochet, single crochet in the third loop, and eyelets to create the beautiful texture.

Bandanas continue to be my favorite accessory.

But seriously, I wear bandanas almost daily. The are perfect for keeping hair out of my face, adding some fun to outfits, and helping me get to hair wash day.

Want to watch how to make the Olivine Bandanas? Watch them on my Youtube channel. There is a tutorial for lefty’s and righty’s. (Click the images below)

Notes

  • When the number comes before the stitch (2HDC) this means place 2 HDC in a st. When the number comes after (HDC 2) this means HDC in the next two stitches.
  • Instructions within [ ] are placed in center chain space.
  • Ch 1 at the beginning of the rows does not count as a stitch.
  • You will always increase by placing two stitches in the first and last stitch of row.
  • The 2 chains at the point are not included in stitch count.
  • R5 and R9 – you will work the SC in the 3rd loop only on the front of the work, below the two bars you would normally work through.
  • Sizing: Pattern is available in three sizes – photo of measurements below.
  • Sizing: To customize increase or decrease size add or subtract R6-9 repeats, always ending after R8 and moving on to Straps + Top Edge.
  • Find the short hand on page 4 with bubbles to check mark the row complete.
