The Phoenix Cowl is the very first design I ever released and was made with my first batch of hand dyed yarn. It was a very exciting time putting myself out there, trying new things, and pushing past the fear of what if no one likes my designs because the truth is, it doesn’t matter as long as I’m finding joy in what I’m doing.
The colors of the yarn are what inspired the name of the cowl. It reminded me of a phoenix, a mythical bird like creature that has flame like feathers and transforms through fire. This creature teaches us to honor our seasons of life and accept change and that through change and transformation we find our strength to come out on the other side better than we once were.
