Olivine Cup Cozy | Free Crochet Pattern

It’s time for the second pattern in the Olivine Collection, the cup cozy! Similar to the Spray Bottle Cozy but instead of having a base, it is open ended, perfect for travel tumblers and to go cups.

There’s not much else to explain, so let’s get to it!

Materials:
Supreme Cotton by Universal Yarns in Seafoam
Worsted Weight
4mm (G) or hook that meets gauge
(or get a full set of my favorite set of hooks)
Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations:
r – row/round
ch(s) – chain(s)
sk – skip
sp – space
sc- single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc3lo – single crochet in third loop only

Gauge:
7 rows x 7 sts = 2×2 inches
In pattern, in the round, unblocked.

Notes:
– Pattern is worked in the round.
– There will be a gap between the first and last stitch of the first row, use the tail to seam together when finished.

Pattern:

Ch 33.

R1: Starting in the 2nd ch, sc in back bump across, join to first stitch. (32 sts)
R2: Ch 1, hdc around, join to first st. (32 sts)

R3: Ch 1, *hdc, ch 1, sk 1 repeat from *, join to first st. (32 sts)

R4: Ch 1, *hdc, hdc in ch sp, repeat from *, join to first st. (32 sts)

R5: Ch 1, sc3lo around, join to first st. (32 sts)

Repeat R3-R5 2 more times.

R12
: Ch 1, sc around, join to first st. (32 sts)

Finish off, weave in ends.
