Ridge Mini Shawl | Free Knitting Pattern

Hi! Long time, no blog. At the end of July I lost any motivation for designing and making in general, and then my family had Covid at the start of August and then we spent the rest of the month preparing for Maisie’s 2nd birthday party. I pretty much traded knitting/crocheting with reading – I read NINE books…NINE. That’s a lot for me and you can see what I read here.

Anyways, its been forever and it’s time to get back to it and I’m going to start with the Ridge Mini Shawl that has been finished for a few months.

The Ridge Mini Shawl is a mix between an asymmetrical triangle shawl and cowl made with knits and purls that create beautiful ridges with a picot bind off. It is the perfect light neck accessory for all seasons and uses 231 yards of dk weight yarn, 1 hank of Made By Hailey Bailey Classic DK. (Here’s a similar colorway.)

Not ready to make this? Pin it for later!

Notes:
– All even rows are worked as the stitch presents itself.

Not sure what stitch you use ,when you say knit as stitch presents themself?when you knit in front and back what stitch would that be? I did knit 1 purl 1 ,have several inches done and it looks nothing like the stitch .can you help ,please.

    1. Since knitting front and back on the one side, one the opposite side you would purl 2 and then continue knitting or purling as the stitches present themself, as in how it looks. Let me know if you need more explanation, I can try my best.

Sorry to bother you ,again, but I think I am doing rows ,6,8,10, 12.wrong. Can you write out row 6… I am finished doing 12 repeats and don’t have the right number of stitches and my pattern is off.
