Elavine Head Wrap | Free Knitting Pattern

Hi! I’m Corrine and I knit and crochet and I love designing patterns.

The Elavine Head Wrap is knit with worsted weight yarn using knit, purl, and slipped stitches to create a beautifully textured wrap that can be styled various ways.

If you’d like the ad-free PDF version of the pattern you can find it on my Etsy, Ravelry, and Ribblr.

Notes:

  • Odd rows are the right side, even rows are the wrong side.
  • –  The straps are 14.5 inches per side.
  • –  SSK – Slip 2 to right needle, Insert left needle through both stitches on right needle from back to front, and knit together.
  • –  Center of Wrap, Row 5 is the eyelet row. To YF bring yarn forward then over to the back side of the needle.
  • –  The center of wrap is customizable, I recommend wrapping it around the top of the head and making sure each side reaches behind the ears. The wrap will stretch.
  • –  When slipping one at the beginning of the row, slip as it presents. If it is a knit stitch, slip knit wise and if its purl, slip it purl wise.
  • –  Straps, you will no longer slip the first stitch.
  • –  Suggested sizes and length of center of wrap :
    • –  Small (21 inch): Knit for 14 inches
    • –  Medium (22 inch): Knit for 15 inches
    • –  Large (23 inch): Knit for 16 inches
    • –  Extra Large (24 inch): Knit for 17 inches.
